VETERANS DIVE TRAINING
Designed for veterans, by veterans, the International Diving Career Institute at Hall’s training programs are approved for veterans training using GI Bill® benefits. Veterans can become PROFESSIONAL Diving Instructors, Divemasters, Boatmasters, Dive Accident Response Technicians, Underwater Photographers and Videographers with Computer editing skills, Certified Diving Equipment Repair Technicians, trained Dive Business Operations and Sales Personnel and, Rebreather and Deep Technical Dive Instructors. All of these skills are true vocational programs. In other words, people will pay graduates to do these skills. Combined together these skills can provide full-time employment with lucrative pay. Training for only one of these skills can lead to great part-time employment.
All the training programs above are available as individual programs or as one-continuous program. The one-continuous approved for veterans program is fourteen weeks of training and contains 612-clock hours of instruction. The name of this training program is the Professional Store and Resort Instructor with Deep Tech and Rebreather Instructor Training Program. It is by far the most popular program we offer to veterans. The second most popular program is our 300-clock hour six-week instructor program. The name of this approved for veterans training program is the Professional Instructor Training Program. This program is shorter and less expensive. It contains just the instruction to accomplish Instructor, Divemaster, Boatmaster and Diving Accident Response Technician training. (See our four-color catalog and call a Career Institute counselor for details)
These two approved for veterans training programs take a veteran with no previous diving experience all the way to a graduating certified scuba diving instructor in 6 to 14 weeks. There are NO previous diving experience, certification or length of a time as a diver required. All required logged scuba dives can be done during the program or on your days off so you graduate as a certified scuba diving instructor on time. The day after you graduate is the day you could go to work.
During the programs we provide tanks, weights and boat dives to the reefs and wrecks in our area at no additional charge. We also include dive training in our clear freshwater swimming pool and limited-visibility training at local salt-water quarries and beaches in the area. Our boat dock and diving areas are reasonably close, convenient to find and alligator free.
The post 911 GI Bill® normally pays 100% of your tuition and most of your fees for any of our Career Institute programs. (See our four-color catalog for details). Veterans also receive cash, tax-free basic housing allowance up to $2,800 a month while in school. Please contact the VA or call a Career Institute counselor for details.
At the Institute you may use VA Chapter: 30 Montgomery Bill, 31 Vocational Rehabilitation, 33 Post 911 GI Bill® or 35 Dependents and Survivors. Please contact the Institute for the proper forms and guidance on how to apply using your veteran benefits.
